Pools, mighty plenitude
“pools” Review from the Provincetown Independent
Artist Statement
In the, pools, mighty plenitude, image series, I am photographing the same watery form over multiple years in different seasons, weather conditions, and times of day, it is a kind of meditative practice created on film. It is also a homage to earth. In the seven years I have witnessed this pool, I have found that its form remains fundamentally unchanged. It is exposed to the dynamism of daily tides; seven days a week, fifty-two weeks a year, and multiple nor’easter winter storms. The pools continue to reside in the marsh, eyes to the sky, adaptive and resilient.
